Anything new? Yup!

August 8th we closed on our first house. You can check out the transformation into the new Fisher Home here
We painted, put in some hardwood flooring, new carpet and we were ready to move in! We are really thankful to be able to live in mom and dads, but are really happy to be settled in our own home.

Marcus: Is working as a Loss Prevention Manager and is in a Retail Organized Crime Division. He is happy that his commute to work is only about six minutes! He loves his new dog, Cacao. He is a great hunting companion!

Amy: Is still commuting to Tigard. The real estate market has slowed, but we are still going strong in Property Management. She volunteers every Tuesday in Eli's classroom and is enjoying the new house. She has made curtains for the boys rooms and is keeping busy slowly decorating the rest of the house.

Elijah: Started Kindergarten! He absolutely loves school and is enjoying being a part of the reading program. He loves the library and picking out a book to bring home for the weekend. He learned to ride his bike without training wheels and has soooo much fun meeting up with cousin Christopher for rides.

Ezekiel: Wakes up every morning and pronounces that he slept and is awake and is now 5! He wants to go to school like big brother and knows he has to be 5, so he insists that he is 5 every day. He got a new loft bed with a slide and has a lot of fun with it. Thoroughly enjoys living close to his cousins so that he can go to Aunties to play. He also got a bike and loves playing Halo 2. What a character!

That is about it for the Fisher family... well, I guess one more piece of news:

Love to all!

Another summer... gone! Can you believe it? Time really seems to go faster and faster.

An update on the Fishers:
We moved into the parents house and are really enjoying the extra space. The commute is a little long for both of us, but oh well. We joke with the neighbors that we are a cheap landscaping service for the parents.

A little blurb about us all:

Marcus: Back to Fred Meyer! He passed the test for Portland Police, but since then, we have found out that there is almost a two year waiting list to even finalize the background investigation. He has applied for Scappoose Police and is looking into some others. Meanwhile, he was promoted to Manager of the Scappoose store and is working six day work weeks and answering 4am phone calls from the store and alarm companies. He is really excited for the hunting season this year. He went last weekend, and only saw one doe, but TONS of elk... a little disappointed. Coming home, he saw three bucks in the field five blocks from our house! If it were only legal... maybe we should fly Lydia out here, she has had more luck "hunting" deer... well sorta (sorry Lydia).

Amy: Still plugging away at Regency Property Management. With three employees, she definitely has her hands full, but at least now she has a better shot at a weekend off. She is really enjoying living closer to Jennie and is really happy to have someone close to trade babysitting with or the occasional shopping trip. She is really enjoying her time with the family and loving taking Eli to swimming lessons and watching both the boys grow. Its amazing to see the day to day differences.

Elijah - 4: Absolutely LOVING his new swim class. There are only two children, so there is a lot of individual attention. He has graduated from PBS kids to the Disney Channel and Jetix (power rangers and the like). He cannot wait until he goes to school next year. He loves singing any patriotic song. He is proud to be an American, and tells everyone. He is a great big brother, but tried to convince me that I should only have one child.... just him. He jumps at every chance he gets to go on Jeepin trips with daddy.

Ezekiel - 2:Quite the character for sure. He charms anyone that he comes into contact with. The perfect day for Zeke would be to wake up, eat two yogurts and a bowl of cottage cheese and wash all that down with a banana, go outside to play, come inside and take a bath in the big tub, go outside to ride the scooter, take another bath in the big tub, roll down the front hill, take a bath in the big tub... you get the idea! Zeke loves STAR WARS! He got his own lightsaber and loves to playfight with Eli. He can make his bed and clean up his room. Definitely has his moments, but dont we all?

We will update again soon... take care!

November 19, 2006 (Sunday)

Ok, so it has almost been a year since I have updated our news!
So, here goes:

Marcus:   Working hard as a Loss Prevention Manager for Mervyns. Thinking of testing for Portland Police Bureau in January. Had a fizzle of a hunting season this year, they had to be cleared out of the area by the Forestry Service because of wind storms in excess of 100 mph!! Was very happy to test his new 4.5" lift and HUGE tires that he and Rob put on his Jeep. Is very much looking forward to winter weather to take it out some more.

Amy:   Keeping more then busy with the business. It is growing in leaps and bounds. We hired our first employee and almost ready to hire our second! It is hard work, but quite worth it. Has started going to the gym... have to keep up with a two and four year old without loosing my breath!

Elijah - 3:   Still a HUGE Spiderman fan. Really wants to get a big boys bike soon. Blows mom and dad away when he uses words like "inappropriate"!! He is such a negotiator - he amazes us with his sense of reasoning and creativity. Has found that he can strip the sheets off his mattress and turn it sideways off his bed and make a really cool trampoline/slide! Always a joy.

Ezekiel - Almost 2:   Also a Spiderman fan, although Teletubbies come in a very close second. What a daddy's boy! He can put on his own shoes and do all the hand motions for Popcorn popping! Definitely our stubborn child. He is a daredevil that climbs up and jumps off anything. The bruises we find! Loves to ride in daddy's jeep! Also loves to wrestle his big brother, and sing the clean up song - what a helper!

We love all our friends and family and are very thankful to know such great people.

Enjoy your holiday season!

What a great 2005! But on to 2006....

News about us all...

Marcus - Working at Fred Meyer, training to be a Loss Prevention Manager. Has the highest stats individually for the entire company for apprehending shoplifters and preventing theft! Just received a promotion as a trainer for the area. Got to visit his brother in Iowa in December and had a great time helping chop wood and keep the house above freezing! Also took advantage of hunting season this year and shot an elk! He definitely enjoys the outdoors and is really looking forward to taking the jeep out more.

Amy - Keeping really busy with the new business. Decided to extend the company and open a real estate office in addition to the property management company. She will double as the Principal Broker for both companies until she hires a manager sometime this summer. Thoroughly enjoys playing with the boys and watching how fast they are growing and learning.

Elijah - Will be three in February. Has graduated from watching Nemo to watching Spiderman! He sleeps with his toy rifle and likes to shoot deer just like his daddy. Is such a great big brother and absolutely LOVES his new motorcycle he received for Christmas. He can spell his name and says his alphabet. Biggest accomplishment this year... Potty trained! Mommy really loves that! He loves playing with his cousin Christopher and misses him so much now that they moved to Washington. He now loves spending the night at his Auntie's new house!!

Ezekiel - Just turned 1! Where does the time go? He loves to dance and also sings along with the choir in church! He can take up to 8 steps, but really has no desire to do it often. Plays with Hot Wheels and likes to make engine sounds as he drives the cars around. He also really loves big brothers motorcycle! He cut four teeth at once and has not pushed any more through. We marvel daily at how different the boys are, yet definitely have some of the same personality traits.

We would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2006.
We love you all!
