We put up some more pictures, man it's been a while, I kind of got behind a couple months ago and have been dreading the twenty-odd pics I've been wanting to put up. But it's done, and ready for your viewing pleasure!

Introducing Oliver James Fitch:

Born Feb. 13, 2008 @ ~9:00pm. He was 8lbs. 14 oz. Em's labor started about 1:00am in the morning on the 13th, but the contractions fizzled out around 6:00am. She had more at random intervals during the day. In her words, "they just didn't seem like they were doing anything" so we had our home teacher (literally) run over (his wife had the car) around 6:00pm. After the blessing, the contractions started coming regularly at ~6 minutes apart. We were at the hospital by 7:10pm and the nurses were taking their sweet time getting things ready until they found out she was already at 8cm! Needless to say, they rushed us to the room and she had the baby by 9:00pm.

We are blessed with another little boy. Julian came to visit the next day and all he wanted to do was "help" hold the baby. Whoever was holding the bay at the moment, Julian would want to climb up as well to help. A big thanks to our upstairs landlords, Brian and Lyn who took Julian when we rushed off to the hospital and then to Em's Mom and sister Gab for taking care of Julian during our hospital stay.

Now, almost a week later, we are doing just great. Nathan, who remembers being completely wiped out for a week after Julian's birth, feels like he has enough sleep, and Emily is healing quickly. Thanks for all your prayers and messages of congrats. Love to all-

Nathan, Emily, Julian and Oliver

I kept thinking Nathan would update this someday but it's almost been a year so I figure it's time to write a little something... Work keeps him busy, as do Julian and I (maybe that's why he hasn't updated at all) but we like where we're at and he enjoys the work he does...I think...most of the time anyway. The people we know in Seattle are wonderful and the weather isn't nearly as bad as most think. We're actually enjoying the mild winters with occasional rain...so far. Julian and I keep each other busy during the day with exciting adventures like riding the bus, or more in this season, Christmas shopping! He's recently transitioned to a "big boy" bed which has gone surprisingly well, to my relief. Nap times are my sanity savers and he still takes them, even without the bars to hold him in, yay! He'll be two in less than a week and his vocabulary has skyrocketed in the last month, Nathan and I are loving this new talking child of ours! He's making phrases now, it's great to see him progress from just sounds and small words. We've been trying to get him prepared for the new baby due in February but we're both pretty sure it's going to be crazy no matter what we do or say. At this point he can say there's a baby in mom's tummy, but who knows what he's thinking about that. We love you all and hope this holiday season is one of happiness and newfound strength!

We're into 2007 and not much is happening. Julian has started the growing up thing where he thinks he knows what he wants (i.e. tantrums) and has a lot more mobility. Check it out:

The Julian Mobility

House prices haven't crashed yet, but Nate's OK with that cause he doesn't want to do yard work yet.

And another year passed...

I started at Amazon.com at the end of last February. Em is busy being a mom, Julian is busy teething. We are excited to be close to family. We spend at least one weekend a month at Emily's parent's house and maybe one in three down in Vancouver. We are happy where we are living, but a little unhappy that houses are so expensive in Seattle!

We're waiting for two things to crash:
  • House prices
  • The record and movie industries

Check out some new Amazon Web Services!!!

If you didn't catch it in the last blog, Nathan accepted an offer from Amazon so we'll be in Seattle! After he graduates and we have the baby. He's still really busy with his eighteen credits, but he just got a 97 on a chem test so he's psyched. I'm still busy being pregnant, but I get to play around in the ceramics and photo lab on campus so that's fun. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

Ok, well, it's been a bunch of time. I had fun at Amazon.com this summer and seems like that's where were're going to end up after I (Nathan) am done at school. Em is busy being pregnant. I'm taking 18 credits this semester, so you'll understand if I don't have a lot of time to write. Lots of love!

Welcome to Nate and Emily's website on fitchfam.com

A little news:

Emily: Getting ready for her Bachelor of Fine Arts Project display and excited about being in Seattle (close to her fam) for the summer.

Nathan: Finishing off a tough semester (at least, he believes so) and is excited about getting an internsip with Amazon.com for the summer. Wish he had more free time to develop this website and get his family members more involved ;)

Come back soon!
